Every person’s money situation is unique. We each have our own pre-existing financial habits, and a unique set of experiences that have shaped our relationship with money.
As a personal financial coach I can give you straight answers that are specific for your situation – which is something you can’t get from a book or personal finance blog.
Yes, you can google your financial questions – but you can’t google the questions you don’t even know to ask! I look at a client’s whole financial picture and identify things that are affecting their finances that they might not even be aware of – things that might end up being very costly for them in the long run.
I also talk with my clients about the emotional side of money – which has a tremendous influence in how we make financial decisions. Clients may have deep-seated fears and anxieties that prevent them from dealing with their finances. Some people blame themselves for past financial decisions, and this blame is holding them back. Clients may feel pressure to spend money they don’t have, or they may lack confidence to make financial decisions. These are all things we talk about in coaching.
Many people don’t have someone they can really talk to about financial issues – and especially not someone who can come at it from an objective perspective. As a coach, I can use my training and experience to give an objective, no-nonsense take on things.
And let’s face it – sometimes what we really need is just a kick in the behind to get us moving on the things that we already know we should be doing. That is another part of coaching! Our sessions can help give you the structure you need to get you finances in order and start working toward you long-term goals.
Personal finance is a huge and at times complex issue that affects every aspect of our lives. Personal financial coaching can be a smart investment that sets you on the right financial path for years to come.
